About the Samantha's House Foundation

The Samantha’s House Foundation is an organization that helps seriously injured children in Central Indiana improve their surroundings and make their everyday lives just a little easier.

This community-wide effort started when little Samantha Allen was involved in a tragic accident. Samantha was hit by a car crossing the street and is confined to a wheelchair with the same type of spinal cord injury suffered by the late Christopher Reeve. She requires 24-hour medical care and needed a house that would meet her significant medical and daily living needs. Thus, the Samantha’s House Foundation was born.

With the help of community leaders and everyday people, money was raised to build Samantha a house that would meet the everyday challenges that any other little girl or boy would take for granted. The Samantha’s House Foundation, along with members of the greater Indianapolis business community and local charities have developed the Samantha’s House and RTV 6 Miracle Makeover Program in order to help best fulfill their mission.

Recipients of the Samantha's House Foundation Miracle Makeover Home are chosen each year through an application process put forth by the Samantha's House Foundation. All applications are reviewed by the board members of the Foundation and selections are made based on the input of each member.
