About Nicole Richards  

Nicole Richards is a 24 year old woman who, in February of 2000, became paralyzed from the chest down after she was in a car accident traveling home from a gymnastic meet. Nicole went on to finish her senior year at Perry Meridian High School and decided to attend Ball State University.

During the past six years Nicole has kept busy as she has established the Nicole Richards Foundation which raises funds for spinal cord injury research. She has also stayed involved with her gymnastics community through becoming an accredited judge. In December of 2005, Nicole graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Telecommunications. She continues to illustrate her commitment to helping others through her work with her foundation and the subsequent contributions to the spinal cord research effort.
